Writing prompts

I just love to write and I love creating stories in my mind.

Sometimes though I get stuck and I’m not sure what should come next. I find the best thing to do when you’re stuck is just to write. About anything, and everything. Write about what you see, write about the fact that you’re writing. Anything. Just write.

If you feel you need to be prompted to write about specifics, why don’t you consider trying these writing prompts below? I find writing prompts super awesome, because even though you get told how to start, no one will ever have the same outcome.

  1. I’m sitting in a small room. It’s cold and dark. I don’t know where I am. I don’t know who I am. I’m scared. And then the door opens…
  2. It couldn’t have been more than a second. But that second changed everything.
  3. I ran after him through the rain. Ran until I couldn’t see him anymore, rain until I couldn’t keep up. That was the last time I saw him.
  4. Describe your favourite season, using only your sense of smell, and hearing.

These writing prompts just get my mind going and they get my creative juices flowing too.

Happy writing!
