Last week I shared an Instagram post about how low I had been and about what a tough week I had been having. I spoke about how I am the only one that can create change in my own life. I mentioned how I am the only one that can create a feeling of worthiness.
I am the change I need
So instead of wallowing in my own self-pity, I decided to pull up my big girl panties and move on. I realised that I needed to create change on my own.
I’m not going to pretend that I was down in the dumps and all of a sudden I had a revelation and put on a smile and carried on. That’s not real life! I’ve been listening to The 10X Rule by Grant Cordone and this book has been the kick in the arse that I needed.
It’s an inspiring read although I don’t think it will resonate with everyone. I think you already have to know that you want more. You already have to know that you can do more. You have to want more.
Why am I talking about how to create change?
I received an incredible response to that post both on Instagram and Facebook. I received so many kind words and messages from people who know me well, people who don’t know me that well, and people who don’t know me at all. I found this amazing. I don’t know why we don’t support each other more?
By supporting each other we create change. We create inspiration.
We should support each other more. And, we should support ourselves more. We are the first people to break ourselves down. One simple bad comment from someone and we turn it into a massive thing. We blow things completely out of proportion. Be kind, my friend. Be kind to yourself and to others. The world needs more kindness. And we need to be kinder to ourselves first before we can be kind to others.
